Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the education sector, and understand the K-12 landscape. Your ability to build relationships with key decision makers at the district level is essential, as is your experience with solution-based selling techniques. You are skilled in negotiation and closing, ensuring that you can secure agreements that bring educational solutions into classrooms. You are familiar with the funding and state initiatives that impact school districts, which informs your sales strategy. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working closely with other departments to achieve sales goals.

What you'll do

As an Account Executive at Newsela, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a robust sales pipeline. This involves pipeline creation, management, and forecasting, as well as designing lead generation campaigns. You will engage with school and district leaders, presenting tailored solutions that meet their needs. Your role will require you to adjust strategic account plans for key accounts, moving each account through the sales cycle effectively. You will also collaborate with your regional sales team and have regular exposure to executive leadership, discussing deal strategies and industry trends.
