SpaceX is hiring a Propulsion Technician for their Starship program to assemble and test rocket hardware. You'll work with mechanical systems and troubleshooting, ensuring safety and quality in all tasks. This role is ideal for candidates with solid mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience.
You possess a solid mechanical knowledge and have hands-on experience in a technical environment. You are willing and eager to learn, adapting to the dynamic nature of the propulsion technician role. You understand the importance of maintaining a professional work area and are committed to safety and quality in all your tasks. You can work autonomously while adhering to defined schedules and procedures. Your troubleshooting skills allow you to effectively address anomalies in rocket hardware assembly and testing. You are detail-oriented and capable of verifying fluids and electrical connections using diagrams for advanced subassemblies.
As a Propulsion Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of rocket hardware for the Starship program. You will maintain tools, valves, tubes, and manifolds for advanced subassemblies, ensuring they are in optimal condition for production. Your role will involve staging, building, testing, installing, and proofing production advanced subassemblies for Starship/Super-Heavy. You will perform testing and operate all necessary testing equipment for pressurized checkouts, utilizing computer network systems and following testing procedures as outlined in the test instructions. You will accept or reject test units based on defined acceptance criteria, documenting your findings and collaborating with engineering to resolve any non-conformances. All your work will be conducted according to established procedures and specifications, emphasizing safety and quality.
