Overview

Impulse Labs is seeking a Hardware System Technical Program Manager to lead the cross-functional delivery of complex hardware systems. You'll manage the entire hardware product lifecycle and work closely with engineering teams. This role requires 3+ years of experience in hardware product development.

Who you are

You have 3+ years of demonstrated experience leading hardware product development teams, focusing on systems integration and cross-functional dependencies. You are skilled in managing and reporting on the master schedule for hardware builds, prototyping, and validation activities, ensuring alignment with overall product milestones. Your experience includes representing hardware teams and facilitating communication across various departments.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Firmware Engineers. You understand the complexities of hardware execution and are adept at navigating the challenges that arise during the product lifecycle. Your ability to manage cross-functional teams and dependencies is a key strength, allowing you to drive projects to successful completion.

You are passionate about creating high-performance products that make a positive impact on everyday life and the environment. You believe in the importance of making good decisions for homes and the environment without compromising lifestyle. You are excited about joining an early-stage, VC-backed company with aspirations to innovate in a major industry.

Desirable

Experience in a startup environment is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest trends in hardware technology. You may also have a background in project management methodologies that enhance team collaboration and efficiency.

What you'll do

As a Hardware System Technical Program Manager at Impulse Labs, you will lead the cross-functional delivery of complex hardware systems and their integration into innovative products. You will manage the entire hardware product lifecycle, from concept through production and launch. Your role will involve coordinating with various teams, including Product Management, Finance, Tech Ops, and Marketing, to ensure that all aspects of the product development process are aligned and executed effectively.

You will serve as the backbone for hardware execution, working closely with engineers to facilitate the development of high-performance products. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the master schedule for hardware builds, ensuring that all milestones are met, and that the product is delivered on time and within budget. You will also be responsible for reporting on progress and addressing any challenges that arise during the development process.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of home electrification products, contributing to a mission that prioritizes sustainability and user satisfaction. You will work in a dynamic environment where your contributions will directly impact the success of the company and its products.

What we offer

Impulse Labs offers a competitive base salary range of $175,000 to $185,000 per year, with the exact compensation varying based on skills and experience. This is an onsite role in our San Francisco office, with the possibility of working remotely 1-2 days a week.
