Matillion is seeking a Principal Performance Engineer to define and deliver the performance strategy for their Data Productivity Cloud. You'll ensure the platform remains efficient and stable at scale. This role requires expertise in performance engineering and a strong understanding of complex systems.
You have extensive experience in performance engineering, ideally with a focus on large-scale systems. Your technical expertise allows you to see the entire system end-to-end, enabling you to identify performance bottlenecks and drive improvements effectively. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about shaping the future of data engineering. You possess strong analytical skills and can translate complex performance metrics into actionable strategies that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
You are comfortable working in a hybrid SaaS model and have a proven track record of delivering performance solutions in multi-region environments. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams ensures that performance considerations are integrated into all aspects of the platform's development. Experience with cloud-based data platforms and familiarity with data integration technologies would be advantageous. In this role, you will take ownership of the performance strategy for the Matillion Data Productivity Cloud. You will define key performance indicators and establish benchmarks to measure success. You will collaborate with engineering teams to implement performance enhancements and ensure that the platform can handle increasing loads as the company grows.
