Vibe is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Data Platform team to enhance their data stack and ensure data reliability and accessibility. You'll work with technologies like AWS, Python, and Kubernetes in a remote-first environment.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and optimizing data platforms. Your expertise spans multiple programming languages, including Python, Go, and Rust, allowing you to choose the right tool for each challenge. You understand the importance of data reliability and accessibility, and you have experience working with large-scale data systems. Your background includes working with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and you are familiar with container orchestration using Kubernetes. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Machine Learning, to ensure that data is effectively utilized across the organization.
You possess strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset, enabling you to raise the bar for Vibe's data platform both operationally and strategically. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high code quality, ensuring that the systems you build are robust and scalable. While experience in adtech is a plus, it is not a requirement. You are fluent in English and can communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with real-time bidding systems or similar high-throughput data environments would be beneficial. Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and data storage solutions like ClickHouse will set you apart. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies as needed, demonstrating a growth mindset in your approach to software development.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Vibe's data stack. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the data platform's capabilities, ensuring it remains robust, scalable, and cost-efficient. You will work closely with various teams to receive, process, analyze, and expose large-scale data generated by Vibe's systems and partners. This includes integrating data from external sources and optimizing the data flow for reporting and advanced analytics.
You will be involved in designing and implementing data pipelines that support real-time data processing and analytics. Your work will directly impact how data is utilized across the company, from the reporting APIs used by the frontend to more complex use cases such as identity resolution. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of code quality and performance, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and ML teams to ensure that data is reliable and accessible at scale. You will participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the strategic direction of the data platform, helping to identify and implement the best tools and technologies for the job. Your contributions will help Vibe achieve its goal of becoming the #1 TV Ad Platform by leveraging data effectively to drive business decisions.
