Samsara is seeking a Mid Market Account Executive to drive sales of their IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You'll engage with executives and manage complex sales processes. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the technology sector, and are comfortable engaging with mid-sized customers to drive business growth. You thrive in a role where you can leverage your skills in building relationships and managing complex sales cycles, often involving multiple stakeholders and negotiations. You are adaptable and can navigate the challenges of selling innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving market. Your ability to communicate effectively with executives and CXOs is a key strength, allowing you to articulate the value of IoT solutions clearly and persuasively.
Experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) space or related technology sectors is a plus. Familiarity with sales processes that involve proof of concepts (POCs) and trial management will help you excel in this role. You should be comfortable with a sales cycle that includes significant negotiation and pricing discussions, and you have a knack for understanding customer needs and aligning them with product offerings.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Samsara's IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You will engage with potential clients, presenting the benefits of sensor data and how it can transform their operations. Your typical sales will range from $20k to $100k, requiring you to manage trials and POCs effectively. You will work closely with various stakeholders within the customer organizations, ensuring that their needs are met and that they see the value in what Samsara offers. You will also be involved in multi-faceted pricing negotiations, ensuring that deals are structured in a way that benefits both the customer and Samsara.
You will need to travel approximately 25% of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events, allowing you to build relationships and expand your network. Your role will also involve collaborating with internal teams to ensure that customer feedback is integrated into product development and that sales strategies are aligned with overall company goals.
