AnyVan is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain their Data Warehouse and support data-driven decision-making across the company. You'll work with tools like Airflow and AWS to build a secure and efficient data platform. This role requires significant experience in data engineering.
You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in designing and implementing data warehouses. You understand the importance of data security and access control, and you have experience with monitoring and incident resolution in data systems. You are proficient in tools like Airflow and AWS, and you have a solid understanding of SQL and database management, particularly with PostgreSQL. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy partnering with software engineering teams to enhance product performance through data insights. You are open-minded about exploring new tools and technologies that can drive efficiency in data processes.
In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain AnyVan's Data Warehouse, ensuring it meets the needs of various teams across the organization. You will be responsible for monitoring the performance of the data systems, setting up alerts, and resolving incidents as they arise. You will collaborate closely with the Business Intelligence team to enable self-service analytics for other teams, empowering them to make data-driven decisions. You will also work with software engineering teams to help them understand product performance over time, providing insights that can guide development efforts. Your role will involve prioritizing automation and simplifying processes to enhance the overall efficiency of data handling within the company.
