AWS is seeking a dynamic Senior Technical Program Manager to lead software engineering teams in building internal tools for the AWS Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Business. The role involves translating internal customer strategy and requirements into technical and functional designs while driving business and engineering execution. We have highly-skilled engineering teams that use exciting AWS services to build internal tools that accelerate our AWS WWPS Sales organizations. In this role, you will help ideate new internal tools, as well as continue delivering and evolving existing tools for internal WWPS field teams to realize new efficiencies in how they support external customers.

• Define technical and functional requirements for engineering team delivery.
• Drive work breakdown, user story elaboration, grooming and execution planning.
• Lead sprint execution and achieve incremental delivery of capabilities.
• Exemplary Bias for Action and Earn Trust through stakeholder management.
• Seek continuous feedback to adapt and refine roadmaps and feature prioritization.
• Proactively identify engineering delivery gaps/opportunities and mitigate risk by effectively escalating.
• Influence strategy, future of a product or suite of products, business, or market segment.
• Align internal AWS product-market fit across internal tooling landscape, business opportunity, and product strategy (e.g., customer, market).
• Deliver with independence.
• Support Return on Investment (ROI) analyses.
• Understand core technologies utilized and be fluent in technology alternatives; weigh the pros and cons of a technology choice and propose relevant options.
• Deconstruct complex product problems into straightforward technical propositions.

About the team
Field Operations and Experience Engineering (FOXe) is a software and systems development team that builds internal first-party solutions for the AWS Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Business. We facilitate productivity, and partner with AWS/Amazon organizations to collaborate and/or enhance first-party tooling. FOXe has several teams that focus on specific domains and tooling needs, and over the past four years through its portfolio, FOXe has developed solutions that have realized intended and unforeseen value. Our solutions provide value through measurable savings gained in time, costs, and resources.- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
