Cloud Technical Consultant (Cloud-agnostic)

Who you are

You have a strong background in cloud technologies, with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, and GCP — you've successfully led cloud transformation projects and understand the intricacies of migrating enterprise applications to the cloud. Your expertise in designing migration strategies is complemented by your ability to assess on-premises workloads and determine cloud readiness. You are skilled in creating production-ready cloud solutions and have a solid understanding of hybrid connectivity design, including dedicated interconnects and site-to-site VPNs.

You are adept at using native discovery tools for cloud assessments and can build compelling business cases with TCO analysis and migration roadmaps. Your experience includes executing migrations using platform-native services and third-party tools for various workloads, including servers, databases, and storage. You are familiar with cloud governance, security baselines, and identity management, ensuring that cloud landing zones are built with best practices in mind.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with application teams to refactor legacy workloads for cloud-native architectures — your knowledge of containers, serverless, and managed services allows you to guide teams through complex transitions. You are detail-oriented, documenting migration runbooks, cutover plans, and rollback procedures to ensure smooth production transitions.

Your post-migration support skills are strong, focusing on cost optimization, performance tuning, and operational handoff to customer teams. You are committed to delivering high-quality cloud solutions that meet client needs and drive business success.

Desirable

Experience with multi-account or multi-subscription environments is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud-native application development practices. You are open to learning new tools and technologies that can enhance your cloud consulting capabilities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive end-to-end cloud transformation for enterprise clients, starting from the initial application assessment through to migration execution and post-migration optimization. You will evaluate on-premises workloads and design tailored migration strategies that align with client objectives. Your hands-on approach will involve executing migrations using platform-native services and third-party tools, ensuring that all workloads are transitioned smoothly to the cloud.

You will lead cloud assessment engagements, utilizing native discovery tools to analyze cloud readiness and dependencies. Your ability to build business cases with TCO analysis will be crucial in helping clients understand the value of their cloud investments. You will also design and architect migration pathways for various workloads, covering lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecture patterns.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with customer teams to refactor legacy workloads for cloud-native architectures. You will document migration runbooks, cutover plans, and rollback procedures to ensure that production transitions are seamless and well-coordinated. Your post-migration support will focus on cost optimization and performance tuning, helping clients maximize their cloud investments.
