Overview

Coupang is seeking a Director of Employee Relations to lead their ER organization in Taiwan. You'll design and implement company-wide ER strategies while managing complex ER issues. This role requires extensive HR experience and expertise in global labor laws.

Who you are

You have over 12 years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations, demonstrating your ability to lead and influence across multiple regions. Your background includes a bachelor's degree in HR, law, or a related field, equipping you with the knowledge necessary to navigate complex labor laws and governance. You possess exceptional judgment and negotiation skills, allowing you to effectively manage high-stakes ER issues and drive strategic initiatives. Your experience in mentoring senior leaders showcases your commitment to developing talent and ensuring organizational integrity. You are adept at designing and implementing ER strategies that promote risk governance and labor-management stability, ensuring a positive workplace culture.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a multi-level, multi-functional employee relations organization, setting the technical and performance standards for ER practices. You will be responsible for driving simplification and process improvement initiatives while managing complex ER issues that arise within the organization. Your strategic influence will extend across regions, allowing you to shape ER strategies that align with Coupang's growth objectives in Taiwan. You will establish contingency plans and lead proactive risk management efforts to protect the organization's integrity. Additionally, you will mentor senior leaders and develop successors for critical ER roles, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent within the organization. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns effectively.
