Your expertise in Java and JavaScript allows you to develop scalable solutions that address security vulnerabilities effectively.

You possess a deep understanding of authentication, authorization, and encryption technologies — you can identify weaknesses in existing systems and propose innovative solutions that improve security posture. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a key strength.

You thrive in collaborative environments — you enjoy working closely with engineering and product teams to ensure that security is integrated into the software development lifecycle. Your proactive approach to risk remediation and your ability to influence others make you a valuable asset to any team.

You are passionate about staying updated with the latest security trends and technologies — you actively research and implement cutting-edge security solutions, such as Passkeys, to enhance user experience while maintaining robust security measures.

Desirable

Experience with cloud security and familiarity with frameworks like OWASP is a plus — you understand the importance of securing cloud-based applications and can apply best practices to mitigate risks.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for securing Navan products by identifying unaddressed areas of weakness — you will drive the design and development of core services related to authentication, authorization, and encryption. Your work will enable a vast majority of use cases to be handled securely, ensuring that customer data is protected at all times.

You will research, design, and implement security-oriented frameworks and features — your goal will be to protect Navan's customers while balancing the needs of multiple personas and use cases. You will act as a liaison between the engineering and security organizations, facilitating communication and collaboration to enhance the overall security of the platform.

You will focus on delivering incremental security value through meaningful code refactors — your ability to break down prior technical implementations will help you identify opportunities for improvement and drive impactful changes. You will also contribute to building and scaling the security of Navan products, ensuring that security is a fundamental aspect of the development process.

What we offer

TripActions offers a competitive salary range of $146,250—$255,000 USD, which includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. We believe in rewarding our employees for their contributions and offer additional compensation for those who exceed targets.
