You have a proven track record of leading engineering teams, with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role. You are skilled in mentoring and developing engineers across various levels, helping them grow technically and as leaders. Your experience includes working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product and Design, to define and execute a roadmap that aligns with business strategy and goals. You understand the importance of usability and automation in product development, ensuring that the solutions your team builds are not only effective but also user-friendly.

You are comfortable navigating complex technical challenges and can effectively communicate with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on business objectives. What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a newly formed Business Services team at Contentful, focusing on the development of AI-enabled marketing solutions. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business strategies and goals, ensuring that the technical architecture and development strategy align with these objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in building a high-performing, globally-distributed engineering team that fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

You will partner with Product and Design teams to define the roadmap for AI-enabled marketing solutions, ensuring that the products developed are scalable, high-performance, and integrate seamlessly into marketers' daily workflows. Your role will involve driving innovation and experimentation, while also ensuring that the systems built are secure, reliable, and performant.

Mentoring and developing engineers will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, as you guide them through the entire software development lifecycle, from solution design to deployment and operations. You will also be responsible for fostering technical excellence and leadership growth within your team, ensuring that each member has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to the team's success.
