You'll leverage your expertise in quality development best practices and work with cross-functional teams. This role requires a background in engineering and experience in consumer electronics.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. With at least 2 years of experience as a Product Quality Engineer in Electronic Product Manufacturing, you are fluent in English and possess a solid understanding of product quality development best practices. Your experience includes working with mobile or consumer electronics manufacturing, particularly in audio, wireless, and display technologies.

You have a proven track record in preventing quality loss during the early stages of manufacturing and implementing effective quality escalation processes. Your ability to lead cross-functional, problem-solving teams using practical approaches such as Quality Metrics, Design of Experiments, or Statistical Process Control/Six Sigma sets you apart. You are also familiar with embedded systems and digital logic board process engineering, which enhances your capability in this role.

What you'll do

As a Product Quality Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining quality metrics that drive product improvement. You will lead initiatives to capture critical measuring system analysis, increase yields, and implement cost-effective methods in collaboration with contract manufacturing partners. Your role will involve driving design of experiments and collecting statistical process control data to evaluate, qualify, and verify manufacturing quality across all product lines.

You will manage product cosmetic quality and oversee Final Assembly Test Packout (FATP) material quality management. Your contributions will directly impact the innovation behind Google's direct-to-consumer products, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences that deliver unparalleled performance and efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
