Job Description

Who you are

You are an aspiring designer with a strong foundation in industrial design principles and practices. You have experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Blender, and Figma, enabling you to create both rough sketches and high-fidelity designs. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers and product partners to bring concepts to life. You are eager to explore the intersection of technology and design, particularly in the realm of human-robot interaction. Your educational background or training in industrial design has equipped you with the skills necessary to contribute effectively to design projects. You are open to feedback and enjoy iterating on your designs based on team input.

What you'll do

As an Industrial Design Intern at Cobot, you will play a crucial role in reimagining the future of human-robot interaction. You will support the design team in refining the Proxie industrial design, focusing on form, color, material, and detail development. Your responsibilities will include exploring future cobot platforms and evolving the design language beyond the current Proxie system. You will collaborate with a diverse team of designers and engineers, translating product vision into tangible designs that enhance user experience. You will engage in hands-on design work, moving fluidly from initial sketches to prototypes and final designs. This internship offers you the opportunity to work on real products with real constraints while still having the freedom to explore innovative ideas.

What we offer

Cobot provides a dynamic and supportive environment where you can grow your design skills and contribute to meaningful projects. You will have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about redefining human-robot interaction. This full-time, 6-month internship allows for a flexible start date, giving you the opportunity to balance your academic commitments with practical experience. You will gain valuable insights into the design process and the challenges of creating products that integrate seamlessly into everyday life. Cobot is committed to fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, encouraging you to share your ideas and contribute to the team's success.
