You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management. Your expertise lies in the Hard Disk Drives and Tape Storage category, where you have successfully negotiated agreements and developed suppliers. You possess excellent investigative skills in industry analysis, cost modeling, quotation analysis, and roadmap development, which are essential for effective supplier selection. Your background includes managing Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and Tape Storage commodities, and you are familiar with manufacturing, assembly, and test processes in this industry. An MBA or Master's degree in a technical or engineering field is preferred, along with 10 years of experience in the field.
As a Global Commodity Manager at Google, you will develop and execute commodity strategies that align with the company's innovative product goals. You will lead cross-functional teams through the supplier selection process for new platforms and components, ensuring that Google has the necessary supplies and equipment for production.
