You have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with experience in promoting safe work environments. You understand the importance of compliance with corporate standards and applicable laws, and you are skilled in conducting risk assessments and job hazard analyses. You are comfortable working with various teams to maintain accurate metrics and reporting systems, ensuring that safety protocols are followed diligently. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to train and coach associates effectively on safe work habits. You are adaptable and willing to work any shift based on availability, demonstrating your dedication to the role.
As a WHS Specialist at Amazon, you will serve as a designated representative for your assigned building, coordinating all aspects of the Amazon Global Program as directed by leadership. You will conduct trainings and coach associates on observed work habits, fostering a culture of safety and compliance. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate reporting systems. You will support management's efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws. Additionally, you will conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed and new equipment introductions, recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics. Your role is crucial in promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring that all employees are proactive in managing their health and wellbeing.
