Okta is seeking a Staff Detection & Response Engineer to lead security operations and influence security decisions across teams. You'll be responsible for threat hunting and managing security incidents while working in a hybrid role based in San Francisco.
You have extensive experience in security operations, particularly in threat detection and response, and you understand the complexities of managing security incidents. Your leadership skills enable you to influence security strategies across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You possess a strong technical background, with hands-on experience in threat hunting and incident management. You are adept at developing detection frameworks and have a strategic mindset that allows you to bridge the gap between technical teams and executive leadership. Your ability to analyze vague intelligence and lead hypothesis-driven investigations sets you apart in the field.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
