Fivetran is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability of their data platform. You'll work closely with engineering teams to monitor and improve infrastructure performance using tools like AWS and Docker. This role requires strong experience in incident response and automation.
You have 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of infrastructure management and reliability best practices. You are proficient in monitoring and alerting systems, and you have a solid background in incident response and troubleshooting. Your experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, has equipped you with the skills to manage scalable and reliable systems. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment, engaging with engineering teams to integrate reliability into the product roadmap. You have a proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve system performance and availability.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus. Familiarity with configuration management tools and infrastructure as code practices will help you excel in this role. You understand the importance of automation in maintaining system reliability and have experience implementing CI/CD pipelines. A background in programming or scripting languages will also be beneficial in automating tasks and improving workflows.
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Fivetran, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our data platform. You will monitor the availability, capacity, and throughput of our production infrastructure, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact our customers. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you will integrate reliability best practices into the product development process, ensuring that our systems are built with reliability in mind. You will support the deployment pipeline, working alongside senior SREs to enhance our incident response capabilities and automate processes for scalable deployments.
You will be responsible for maintaining 100% availability of our production infrastructure, which involves proactive monitoring and alerting to catch issues early. Your contributions will help shape the future of Fivetran's infrastructure, as you work to implement automation and improve our overall system reliability. You will also assist in prioritizing and resolving critical bugs identified by support or sales teams, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience.
