You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of hardware and network diagnostics — you thrive in environments where you can solve complex problems and ensure the smooth operation of critical infrastructure. You are comfortable participating in an on-call rotation and are eager to collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists.
Experience with cloud infrastructure or data center operations is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with physical repair processes and a willingness to learn new technologies will help you succeed in this role. As a Data Center Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of AWS's global cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include performing in-depth hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repairs to ensure seamless data center operations. You will work closely with a team of software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists and operations managers, to deliver the highest standards for safety and security. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise, ensuring that our customers have continual access to the innovative services they rely on.
You will participate in an on-call rotation, responding to incidents and emergencies as they occur. This role requires you to be proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions before they impact operations. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams across AWS, contributing to projects that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our data centers.
