The AZUL team within A to Z Identity is responsible for delivering a secure, intuitive, and reliable login experience for over 1 million Amazon associates. As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing innovative solutions that consolidate disparate authentication experiences, leveraging the latest technologies to meet both current and future user needs.
Key job responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to design and develop highly scalable, performant, and secure authentication systems
- Implement "invisible when possible, intuitive when visible" security measures that prioritize user experience and trust
- Leverage established security standards and protocols to build solutions with security by design
- Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, ensuring robust system availability and reliability
- Balance innovative approaches with operational excellence, anticipating evolving requirements
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your expertise to continuously elevate the team
About the team
The AZUL team within A to Z Identity is responsible for creating a unified login experience across the A to Z app, including employees, alumni, new hires, beneficiaries, learners, job seekers, and guests. We are currently focused on migrating all users to passwordless authentication using Passkeys, while ensuring a seamless and secure experience.
Working in a highly collaborative, agile environment, the AZUL team leverages the latest technologies such as AWS, TypeScript, React, React Native, and Java to deliver innovative solutions. Our team culture is centered around technical excellence, with a relentless focus on security, reliability, and scalability. - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
