Overview

Formlabs is hiring an R&D Reliability Engineer to ensure product robustness and reliability. You'll develop and manage validation test plans and perform root cause analysis on electromechanical subsystems. This role requires hands-on engineering experience and strong analytical skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You are a versatile and curious engineer with a strong background in reliability engineering. You have experience developing and executing validation test plans for hardware products, ensuring they meet design and reliability requirements. Your analytical skills allow you to perform hands-on and data-driven root cause analysis of electromechanical subsystems and field failures. You can see the whole system—from the smallest part to the user's workflow—and can take complex data and turn it into a clear, compelling story. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and quality.

Desirable

Experience with advanced testing strategies and electro-mechanical test rigs is a plus. Familiarity with common problem-solving methodologies will help you excel in this role. You are comfortable working with data and can extract valuable insights to improve product reliability.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop, execute, and manage system, subsystem, and component level validation test plans to ensure that Formlabs' products meet stringent design and reliability requirements. You will work closely with the Reliability Engineering Team to architect effective testing strategies that enhance product robustness. Your responsibilities will include performing hands-on and data-driven root cause analysis (RCA) of electromechanical subsystems and field failures, utilizing common problem-solving methodologies to identify issues and propose solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the products are reliable and meet customer expectations. Your insights will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Formlabs' hardware products, allowing customers to spend more time printing and less time troubleshooting.

What we offer

At Formlabs, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to changing how the world creates. We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000—$125,000 USD, along with equity in the form of RSUs. Your financial investment will grow with us in accordance to your impact. We believe in a total compensation package that reflects your skills, qualifications, experience, and expected impact on the organization. Join us in building innovative tools that empower creators and revolutionize the fabrication industry.
