Datadog is seeking a Mid Market Account Executive to drive business growth by acquiring new customers in mid-to-large size markets. You'll leverage tools like Sales Navigator and collaborate with internal teams to close deals. This role requires experience in sales and a strategic approach to account management.
You have experience in hunting and closing net new logos — you've successfully navigated the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, demonstrating your ability to engage with potential clients effectively. Your curiosity and motivation drive you to understand customer needs deeply, allowing you to tailor your approach and convey the value of the Datadog product clearly.
You are bold in your sales tactics — you strategically map out accounts and break into them, showcasing your ability to identify opportunities where others may not see them. Your collaborative spirit shines as you work closely with Sales Development Representatives to drive top-of-funnel activity, ensuring a steady stream of leads.
You thrive in a hybrid workplace — you appreciate the balance of in-office collaboration and the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to create a work-life harmony that suits your style. You understand the importance of office culture and actively contribute to building relationships within your team.
While you may not meet every qualification on day one, your passion for technology and eagerness to grow your experience in sales make you a strong candidate. You are open to learning and adapting, which is essential in a fast-evolving tech landscape.
In this role, you will focus entirely on net-new logo acquisition — your primary responsibility will be to convert inbound leads into closed opportunities, utilizing your sales skills to navigate the complexities of the sales process. You will leverage tools such as Sales Navigator and DiscoverOrg to identify and engage with key decision-makers, including Chief Technology Officers and Engineering/IT Leaders.
You will manage the full sales cycle — from initial outreach to negotiations and on-site technical demonstrations, ensuring that you provide a seamless experience for potential clients. Your ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders will be crucial as you align your sales strategies with the broader goals of the Commercial Sales team.
You will contribute to Datadog's overall business growth — by strategically engaging with mid-to-large size markets, you will play a vital role in expanding the company's customer base. Your efforts will directly impact the success of the team and the organization as a whole.
At Datadog, we value our employees and strive to create an inclusive and supportive work environment. You will have the opportunity to grow your career in sales, with pathways to advance within the organization. We believe in fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity, where every team member's contributions are recognized and valued.
We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your enthusiasm for technology and willingness to learn are just as important as your current skill set. Join us at Datadog and be part of a team that is dedicated to driving innovation and success in the tech industry.
