Perfect Venue is seeking a Founding Business Development Representative to drive outbound sales and build a BDR function. You'll collaborate with the CEO and sales team, leveraging your expertise in hospitality tech sales. This role is hybrid, requiring 4 days a week in the San Francisco office.

Who you are

You are a self-motivated individual with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, eager to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. With at least one year of experience in business development or sales, you understand the nuances of prospecting and lead generation. Your background in hospitality tech sales is a significant advantage, as it equips you with the insights needed to connect with potential clients effectively. You are adaptable and ready to take on challenges, demonstrating a proactive approach to building relationships and driving results.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate value propositions clearly and persuasively. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and engineering, ensures alignment and maximizes the impact of your outreach efforts. You are comfortable using CRM tools, particularly HubSpot, to maintain organized contact and company lists, ensuring that your sales strategies are data-driven and efficient.

Desirable

Experience in a startup environment is a plus, as it gives you a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities that come with rapid growth. Familiarity with A/B testing and optimizing outreach scripts will help you refine your approach and improve conversion rates. What you'll do

As a Founding Business Development Representative at Perfect Venue, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the BDR function from the ground up. You will leverage the existing outbound playbook to enhance lead generation efforts, creating targeted lists and optimizing outreach strategies. Collaborating closely with the CEO, Director of Sales, and BDR Lead, you will help shape the future of the BDR team, ensuring that it aligns with the company's growth objectives.

Your responsibilities will include building a strong BDR playbook that incorporates best practices and innovative approaches to outreach. You will conduct A/B testing on outreach templates to identify the most effective messaging strategies. By analyzing data and feedback, you will continuously refine your approach to maximize engagement and conversion rates.

In this role, you will also collaborate with marketing to ensure that your outreach efforts are aligned with broader marketing campaigns. This collaboration will help create a cohesive brand message and enhance the overall customer experience. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth handoff of leads, providing them with the necessary context to convert prospects into clients.
