Overview

SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Facilities) to design and build advanced manufacturing facilities. You'll work on high power electrical systems and collaborate with various engineering disciplines. This role requires expertise in electrical design and project management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in designing electrical systems for large-scale construction projects. You excel at managing multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with architects and construction teams. Your problem-solving skills allow you to tackle complex challenges effectively, and you are comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-paced setting. You have a strong understanding of electrical power distribution systems, switch-gear, and motor control centers, and you are familiar with ground support system controls and ladder logic.

Desirable

Experience with uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units and standby generators is a plus. You are knowledgeable about power monitoring hardware and software, and you have a keen eye for detail in your designs. Familiarity with data and phone distribution systems will also be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

As an Electrical Engineer on the MEP team, you will be responsible for the detailed electrical design and specification for the installation of various equipment and systems. You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure that all electrical systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall construction projects. Your role will involve designing high power electrical systems that support new construction initiatives, contributing to SpaceX's mission of enabling human life on Mars.

You will work closely with trade partners and internal customers to support the construction of some of the world’s most technically advanced manufacturing facilities. Your ability to manage multiple projects will be crucial as you navigate the complexities of each construction site. You will also have the opportunity to drive real global impact through your work, contributing to the future of space exploration.
