Thumbtack is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Development to lead their Demand Partnerships team. You'll focus on building strategic B2B partnerships to drive user acquisition and revenue growth. This role requires strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
You are a strategic leader with a strong background in business development, ideally with 5+ years of experience in building and managing partnerships. You have a proven track record of driving growth through innovative strategies and collaboration across teams. Your people-focused approach enables you to develop and mentor your team effectively, fostering a culture of success and accountability.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate complex ideas clearly and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Your analytical mindset helps you identify opportunities for growth and develop actionable plans to capitalize on them. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable navigating ambiguity while maintaining a focus on results.
Experience in the home services or technology sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with platforms in Content, Retail, HOA, and Property Management. You are adaptable and open to learning, always seeking to improve your skills and knowledge in business development and partnership management.
In this role, you will own the strategy and execution for Thumbtack's Demand Partnerships team, focusing on building relationships with leading platforms across various key verticals. You will collaborate closely with teams in Commercial Strategy, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to design and deliver scalable, partner-driven experiences that fuel demand for Thumbtack.
You will lead your team in identifying and pursuing high-impact B2B partnerships that expand Thumbtack's customer base and unlock new revenue opportunities. Your responsibilities will include developing partnership strategies, negotiating agreements, and ensuring successful implementation and execution of partnership initiatives.
You will also be responsible for tracking and analyzing partnership performance, using data to inform decisions and optimize strategies. Regularly reporting on progress and outcomes to senior leadership will be a key part of your role, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
