Saronic is seeking a Hull & Deck Infusion - Composites Technician to infuse high-performance composite parts for autonomous vessels. You'll work with materials and infusion techniques critical to manufacturing. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates with a background in composites.
You are a motivated individual eager to start your career in the composites industry. You have a basic understanding of composite materials and infusion techniques, and you're ready to learn and grow in a hands-on environment. You are detail-oriented and capable of following precise instructions to ensure high-quality results in manufacturing processes. You are comfortable working with large molds and have a willingness to engage in physical tasks that require attention to safety and quality standards. You are excited about the opportunity to contribute to innovative maritime technology and are open to learning from experienced technicians in the field.
In this role, you will be responsible for infusing high-performance composite parts used in the structure and systems of autonomous vessels. You will focus on loading dry material and stringers into large molds, ensuring that all components are prepared correctly for the infusion process. You will install vacuum manifolds and bagging systems to create the necessary conditions for successful infusion. Conducting drop tests and leak detection will be part of your responsibilities to ensure the integrity of the infused parts. You will maintain vacuum catch pots and mix resin and MEKP to the appropriate ratios, following established protocols to achieve optimal results. Your hands-on work will be critical to the manufacturing process, directly impacting product reliability and performance.
