Microsoft is hiring a Firmware Engineer to develop and validate firmware/system integration for their Cloud Infrastructure. You'll work with Python and object-oriented programming to design scalable systems. This role requires a strong background in firmware validation and system integration.
You have a solid background in firmware and system validation framework development, with a focus on designing modular, maintainable, and scalable systems. Your proficiency in object-oriented programming and design patterns allows you to create efficient software architectures that meet the demands of complex server environments. You are experienced in coordinating, integrating, and debugging system software across various domains within server architecture, including SoC firmware, BIOS, and network connection interfaces. Your familiarity with modern Python packaging tools, such as Poetry, enables you to manage dependencies effectively and ensure reproducible builds. You are adept at troubleshooting and debugging, demonstrating a keen ability to resolve issues that arise during system integration.
Experience with semantic versioning and multi-version compatibility strategies is a plus, as is a background in cloud infrastructure technologies. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment and have a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that enhance user experiences. You understand the importance of security and compliance in cloud infrastructure and are committed to maintaining best practices in these areas.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design and architecture of firmware systems that power Microsoft's cloud infrastructure. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate various components of the server architecture, ensuring seamless communication between hardware and software.
