Senior Process Safety Engineer

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in process safety or chemical engineering and over 5 years of experience with design and commissioning chemical systems. Your expertise in conducting Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) of advanced chemical systems allows you to recommend effective controls to manage risks as low as reasonably practicable. You are skilled in evaluating equipment overpressure and overtemperature scenarios, as well as reaction hazards, ensuring safety in complex environments.

You thrive in collaborative settings, establishing yourself as a subject matter expert (SME) in process safety among key stakeholders. Your ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and instrumentation diagrams is crucial for your role. You are proactive in implementing and field validating safety-critical instruments and interlocks during Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs).

Desirable

A Master’s degree in chemical engineering is preferred, enhancing your qualifications for this role. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail enable you to oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), ensuring compliance with safety standards. You are committed to implementing a robust Process Safety Management (PSM) program, ensuring adherence to all pillars of PSM.

What you'll do
