Who you are

You have a BS in computer science or a related discipline and bring over 5 years of experience architecting and shipping high-performance, large-scale distributed systems. Your expertise in data mining and machine learning infrastructure is complemented by a strong understanding of AWS services, which you have utilized to build robust data processing pipelines. You are comfortable working with complex datasets and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring high-quality data for machine learning applications.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy spearheading new mining strategies and workflows. Your analytical mindset allows you to provide statistical depth on model performance and generalization, and you are adept at conducting rigorous error analysis across complex driving scenarios. You are passionate about continuous learning and improvement, always looking for ways to enhance the performance of ML products.

Experience with large-scale data workflows and state-of-the-art mining algorithms is a plus. Familiarity with autonomous driving technologies and the challenges associated with them will set you apart. What you'll do

In this role, you will own large-scale mining workflows that surface rare objects, model errors, and long-tail events. Your primary responsibility will be to build high-quality datasets that improve machine learning products through training and edge case validation. You will contribute to data processing pipelines that fuel our in-house billion-scale image search engine, ensuring that the data is accurate and reliable.

You will collaborate closely with the Data Mining team to develop innovative strategies for mining and filtering the massive influx of fleet data collected by our robo-taxi fleet. This involves working with petabytes of data and developing billion-scale data workflows that enhance the performance of our ML products for perception, prediction, and planning.

Your role will also involve providing statistical insights on model performance and generalization through rigorous error analysis. You will analyze complex driving scenarios and identify areas for improvement, ensuring that our ML models are continuously validated against real-world data.
