Axon is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join their Video Products Sustaining team. You'll be responsible for design maintenance, debugging, and regulatory certification support for video product electronics. This role requires expertise in embedded systems and design tools.
You have a solid background in electrical engineering with experience in sustaining and maintaining electronic designs — your expertise in debugging and failure analysis will be crucial in ensuring product continuity. You are familiar with regulatory certification processes and understand the importance of compliance in product development. Your hands-on experience with wirelessly connected devices, particularly in video products, sets you apart as a candidate who can contribute effectively to the team. Experience with high-speed docking stations and body-worn camera systems is a plus. Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD will help you excel in this role. As a member of the Video Electrical Engineering Sustaining team, you will take ownership of design maintenance and improvement activities — your role will involve debugging and qualification of existing products to ensure they meet performance standards. You will conduct failure analysis to identify root causes of issues and implement solutions that enhance product reliability. Your responsibilities will also include supporting regulatory testing to renew global certifications and enable new regions of sales. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address critical issues and drive design improvements, ensuring that Axon's video products remain world-class. Regular interaction with global teams will be part of your role, allowing you to share knowledge and best practices across the organization.
