You have 5+ years of experience in AI and machine learning engineering, with a strong focus on building data pipelines and knowledge systems. Your expertise in vector databases and embedding models allows you to create efficient data architectures that support AI functionalities. You are familiar with document processing techniques and have a solid understanding of MLOps practices, ensuring that AI systems operate smoothly and effectively.

You are detail-oriented and prioritize data quality and privacy compliance in your work. You understand the importance of high-quality data for AI applications and have experience implementing data anonymization and PII detection systems. What you'll do

As a Senior AI Engineer at Kong, you will design and implement documentation ingestion pipelines that leverage AWS Bedrock and other vector stores. Your role will involve building semantic chunking and document processing systems optimized for retrieval quality and context preservation. You will develop vector embedding pipelines that utilize hybrid search strategies, combining semantic and keyword search to enhance the user experience.

You will create real-time telemetry collection systems for model monitoring, performance tracking, and quality assurance, ensuring that AI systems are reliable and efficient. Additionally, you will implement automated knowledge base refresh and quality monitoring systems to maintain data freshness and relevance.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that the AI platform meets the needs of the organization. You will contribute to the overall strategy for AI capabilities, helping to shape the future of Kong's AI initiatives.
