Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion

Key job responsibilities
- You will be responsible in monitoring logistics metrics and request for actions to ensure that the teams meet the targets, keeping precise records of all parts and create reports for internal and external customers and management.
- You will be responsible in coordinating with procurement and vendors on PR/PO handling, delivery and payment monitoring while closely tracking and updating shipment status and managing the delivery issues with transportation vendors.
- You will be acting as focal point for logistics in new projects/sites, responsible in goods receiving, transfer, distribution and related operations in system, liaise with suppliers and our internal teams, respond to requests or queries from internal and external customers.
- You will be responsible in participating in continuous improvement initiatives in addition to day-to-day audit, inventory requests and other logistics activities to support data center operation and expansion
- You will be contributing to improvements to team SOP and participating in reviews and/or the creation of SOPs that reduce ambiguity and improve their quality.

A day in the life
- You will work in a diverse, inclusive, international and friendly environment with Data Center Operation
- Your day will be spent carrying out Logistical support functions for our Data Centers. This will involve physical control and processing of parts transactions, consumables stock replenishment, and cycle counting of stock.
- The role will require some travel between sites to successfully complete tasks and you may be required to go into the Data Center after hours and over weekends on some occasions.
- Most of the work will be inside an office/storage room with air conditioning and computer.
- Occasionally will happen to work outside for shipment support.
- You will work on normal working hours on business days, with flexible time available and there are possible on-call duties after normal working hours.
