Overview

Relativity is seeking a Senior Structures Responsible Engineer to lead the design, build, and test lifecycle of the Terran R vehicle's integrated structures and flight mechanisms. This role requires expertise in mechanical engineering and offers a competitive salary range of $142,000—$181,500.

You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on structures and mechanisms. Your experience includes hands-on hardware ownership and a deep understanding of the design, build, and test lifecycle of complex systems. You are passionate about contributing to projects that push the boundaries of technology and exploration.

Desirable

Experience in aerospace engineering or related fields is a plus, as is familiarity with rocket design and manufacturing processes. You are comfortable with iterative design processes and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all structures meet stringent safety and performance standards.

What you'll do

As a Senior Structures Responsible Engineer at Relativity, you will lead the Structures and Mechanisms team in the development of the Terran R vehicle. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the full design lifecycle, from initial concept through to testing and validation. You will collaborate closely with propulsion, manufacturing, and software teams to ensure that all components integrate seamlessly and function as intended. You will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks throughout the development process, ensuring that all structures meet the required specifications and performance metrics.
