Overview

Twilio is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale systems that process over 1 billion rows daily. You'll work with technologies like Java, Salesforce, and Snowflake to unlock customer data. This position requires strong experience in software engineering and cloud integrations.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in software engineering with a focus on building scalable systems — your experience includes working with cloud integrations and processing large datasets. You are proficient in Java and have hands-on experience with platforms like Salesforce and Snowflake, enabling you to unlock and activate customer data effectively.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with diverse teams to deliver innovative solutions — your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly helps bridge the gap between engineering and business needs. You are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance customer experiences and drive business value.

You are familiar with data processing at scale, having worked on systems that handle significant volumes of data — your understanding of cloud technologies and data warehousing solutions positions you well to contribute to Twilio's mission of transforming communications.

Desirable

Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms is a plus, as it complements your existing skill set. Familiarity with data integration tools and practices will further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Twilio, you will be responsible for building new features and capabilities in source integration — your work will unlock cloud sources and warehouse data for our customers, activating it for various destinations. You will design and implement systems that process over 1 billion rows of data daily, ensuring that our customers can derive maximum value from their data.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and other engineers, to iterate quickly on solutions that meet customer needs — your role will involve not just coding but also participating in design discussions and code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.

You will have the opportunity to work on integrations with platforms like Salesforce and Hubspot, enhancing our capabilities in data activation — your expertise will help shape the future of how Twilio interacts with customer data, driving innovation in our offerings.

What we offer

Twilio offers a remote-first work culture, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while being part of a vibrant and inclusive team — we believe in empowering our employees to take charge of their careers and grow within the company. You will have access to continuous learning opportunities and the chance to work on cutting-edge technologies that impact millions of users worldwide.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — at Twilio, we value diverse experiences and perspectives, believing they contribute to our success. Join us in shaping the future of communications and making a global impact.
