Job Description

Trust Sensitive Content Intelligence team leverages natural language understanding, machine learning, and big data to help Amazon Devices identify bad content. We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer who can ensure that customers continue to have fun engaging conversation with Amazon Devices with Alexa+.

We are a highly collaborative, fast moving, and fun team. Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, strong sense of ownership, adapts quickly to new technologies, and has high career growth potential. The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential. Candidate should have a solid understanding of software design principles, a demonstrated track record of delivering new features and passion for innovating on behalf of customers.

They value collaboration, data-driven decision making, learning, and can comfortably communicate with others, in both technical and non-technical roles.


Key job responsibilities
- Keep up with the latest in ML system design, frameworks and best practices.
- Own feature enhancements end to end, collaborate with product and science , design, develop and launch in production.
- Participate in design reviews/code reviews and contribute to the teams deliverables
- Work on maintaining existing services
- Mentor junior engineers

A day in the life
As a member of the team you will be responsible for design, development and launch of new features. You will be required to participate with other senior engineers and peers in developing the overall system architecture, contribute the review of design and code of peer engineers and mentor freshers/junior engineers. You will also work on high availability, security compliance and maintenance of our existing services. - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
