Overview

GumGum is seeking an Account Director to drive new revenue and grow existing business through their Mindset platform. This role requires 4+ years of digital advertising sales experience and a strong understanding of the media and adtech ecosystem.

Who you are

You have over 4 years of experience in digital advertising sales, demonstrating a deep understanding of the media and adtech ecosystem. Your strong business judgment allows you to navigate complex client needs effectively, ensuring that you can build and maintain key relationships across large and mid-sized agencies. You are an individual contributor who thrives in a role that requires autonomy and proactive management of a book of business. Your ability to lead strategic client conversations and partnerships is essential to your success in this position.

You are skilled at leveraging cross-functional partners across account management, client strategy, marketing, and operations to deliver strong client outcomes. Your experience in full cycle sales execution—from prospecting and pipeline development through negotiation and close—sets you apart as a candidate who can drive significant revenue growth for GumGum. You are committed to effective advertising that respects consumer privacy and enhances their experience.

Desirable

While not required, experience with AI-powered advertising solutions or familiarity with GumGum’s proprietary platforms would be advantageous. A background in working with agencies and understanding their dynamics can further enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

As an Account Director at GumGum, you will be responsible for driving new and incremental revenue through the Mindset platform. You will own the development and growth of key relationships, leading strategic conversations with clients to understand their needs and how GumGum can meet them. Your role will involve managing a book of business with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring that you proactively engage with clients to foster long-term partnerships.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including account management and marketing, to deliver exceptional client outcomes. Your ability to navigate complex client needs will be crucial as you work to align GumGum’s offerings with their advertising goals. You will also be accountable for the full cycle of sales execution, from initial prospecting to closing deals, ensuring that you meet or exceed revenue targets.
