Amazon is hiring a Construction Manager to oversee project execution and manage requests for equipment and support. You'll work closely with contractors and stakeholders to ensure timely project completion across multiple locations including Austin and Seattle.
You have experience in construction management, particularly within the retail grocery or food service sectors. Your operational knowledge of retail execution and production flow is complemented by a general understanding of facilities infrastructure and store-level production equipment. You excel in planning, estimating, organizing, and monitoring projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You are data-driven and solution-oriented, with a passion for operational workflow processes and effective store design. You thrive in a collaborative environment, building strong relationships with contractors, service providers, and stakeholders in store operations and regional leadership. You understand the importance of communication and accountability in achieving project goals.
In this role, you will manage ongoing requests for replacement equipment and small project support initiated through the PERF intake system or other Store Development platforms. You will report directly to an Executive Leader and oversee the tactical execution of requests, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. You will work closely with peers in Store Development to cultivate a team environment that emphasizes shared fate and accountability. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with contractors and service providers, as well as maintaining strong relationships with equipment suppliers. You will be expected to monitor project progress and report updates to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Your role will also involve analyzing operational workflows and identifying opportunities for improvement in store design and execution.
