Uber is seeking an Applied Scientist to tackle marketing analytics and ad tech challenges. You'll leverage your expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning to optimize marketing performance. This role requires a strong background in data analytics and experimentation design.
You have a Master’s degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Math, or a related field, and possess a strong curiosity about data. Your experience includes applying rigorous scientific methods to solve complex business problems, particularly in marketing analytics and ad tech. You are proficient in data analytics and have a solid understanding of experimentation design and causal inference methodology. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to work with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.
Experience with large-scale data processing tools such as Spark and Hive is a plus. Familiarity with Uber’s proprietary machine learning platform will enhance your ability to contribute effectively. You are comfortable working with marketing leadership and engineering teams, participating in project planning and prioritization meetings.
In this role, you will be accountable for the end-to-end Paid channel incrementality and optimization testing. You will build production-grade models on large-scale datasets to optimize marketing performance, utilizing advanced statistical modeling and machine learning techniques. Your work will address key growth challenges, providing meaningful insights into channel optimization, user value modeling, bidding optimization, and targeting optimization. You will collaborate closely with marketing leadership and product teams to implement and deploy models, improving analytical solutions through data-driven recommendations.
