You'll work on integrating electrical and controls systems, troubleshooting, and providing production support. This role requires experience in electrical engineering and automation.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in electrical engineering and automation, with experience in integrating complex systems. You are skilled in creating work instructions and have a knack for identifying and solving manufacturing challenges. Your troubleshooting abilities allow you to quickly address issues in electrical and controls systems, ensuring smooth operations on the launch pad. You are familiar with the tools and equipment necessary for testing and fabrication projects, and you have experience onboarding new machinery or equipment.

Desirable

Experience with AutoCAD is a plus, as it will aid in your ability to create detailed designs and work instructions. Familiarity with embedded systems and controls will enhance your contributions to the team. You are proactive in your approach, always looking for ways to improve processes and support your colleagues in the field.

What you'll do

In this role, you will bridge the gap between detailed design and activation, focusing on the installation of conveyances and cable pulling. You will create comprehensive work instructions for the integration of electrical and controls systems, ensuring that all components are aligned with the design specifications. Your role will involve identifying tricky designs that may lead to manufacturing difficulties and proposing effective solutions to streamline the process.

You will provide production support by rapidly addressing issue tickets and collaborating with engineers to define requirements and standard repairs. Your troubleshooting skills will be essential as you work to resolve issues in electrical and controls systems, ensuring that all systems function as intended. You will also select, modify, and maintain the equipment needed for tests and fabrication projects, contributing to the overall success of the launch pad development.

As part of the team, you will assist in the field as needed, providing hands-on support and feeding back lessons learned to the design team. Your insights will help refine the design process and improve future builds, contributing to the rapid and automated flight cadence that SpaceX aims to achieve.

What we offer
