Handshake is seeking Medical Records Specialists to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models and provide structured feedback. No AI experience is required, making this an accessible opportunity for those with relevant medical records expertise.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in medical records management or a related field. Your background includes compiling, maintaining, and protecting patient medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. You are familiar with assigning diagnosis-related groups (DRGs) using specialized software and coding patient data with standard classifications. You are detail-oriented and capable of delivering clear, structured feedback that enhances AI models' understanding of workplace tasks and language. You are open to learning new skills and contributing to the evolving landscape of AI in healthcare.
Experience in evaluating and training AI models is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with medical coding and compliance regulations will be beneficial. You should be comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively, as the role is remote and asynchronous.
In this role, you will participate in an hourly, temporary AI research project, evaluating AI models based on your professional experience. You will develop prompts for AI models that reflect your field and assess the responses generated by these models. Your insights will help strengthen the AI's understanding of medical records tasks and language. The work is flexible, averaging 5-20 hours per week, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to various projects as they become available throughout the year. Your feedback will play a crucial role in shaping how AI is utilized in your field, making your contributions impactful.
