Senior Engineering Manager, DevOps

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in engineering management, particularly in DevOps, where you've successfully led teams in building and scaling cloud infrastructure. Your technical expertise spans across various platforms, and you have a strong understanding of the challenges involved in managing resilient and secure systems. You are adept at fostering a culture of technical excellence and mentoring engineers to help them grow in their careers.

Your experience includes designing and operating foundational services that support rapid product development. You understand the importance of collaboration across teams, including machine learning, search, and full stack, to deliver elegant solutions that meet customer needs. You are passionate about solving complex engineering problems and driving operational efficiency.

You have a proven track record of building CI/CD pipelines and implementing infrastructure as code practices. Your familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, allows you to optimize performance and cost while ensuring security and compliance. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by the opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing AI startup.

Desirable

Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is a plus, as is a background in security practices related to cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools will help you ensure the reliability of the systems you manage. What you'll do

As the Senior Engineering Manager for the DevOps team at Moveworks, you will lead the design and implementation of the cloud infrastructure that supports our AI-driven products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their infrastructure needs and influence the DevOps roadmap to align with business goals. Your leadership will be crucial in building a team that can operate efficiently and effectively in a rapidly changing environment.

You will oversee the development of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that they are fully automated and capable of provisioning and managing the application stack across various environments. Your role will involve collaborating with the security team to enhance the security posture of our infrastructure, ensuring that we meet industry standards and best practices.

In addition to technical leadership, you will be responsible for hiring and mentoring engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. You will conduct regular 1:1s to support your team's professional development and help them achieve their career goals.

You will also be involved in capacity planning and cost optimization efforts, ensuring that our infrastructure can scale seamlessly as the company grows. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders will be essential in driving alignment and ensuring that the infrastructure supports the overall product strategy.
