Overview

HelloFresh is seeking a Senior Manager for Private Label Development to launch and build new product categories. You'll define strategies, manage supplier relationships, and own the P&L for these categories. This role requires entrepreneurial skills and experience in product development.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record in product management, particularly in developing and launching new product categories. With at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, you understand the intricacies of market analysis and customer needs. You are adept at building supplier relationships and have a keen eye for commercial viability, ensuring that the products you develop meet both customer expectations and business goals. Your analytical skills allow you to model unit economics effectively and set pricing strategies that align with margin targets. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable making decisions that impact the overall strategy and profitability of the product portfolio.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management and marketing. You are not only a strategic thinker but also a hands-on operator who enjoys the challenge of building systems from the ground up. Your experience in the food-tech industry or a related field is a significant advantage, as it equips you with insights into consumer behavior and market trends. You are passionate about creating products that enhance customer experiences and drive retention.

Desirable

Experience in the food or beverage industry is a plus, as is familiarity with P&L management. You are comfortable with data analysis tools and have a knack for interpreting market intelligence to inform product development decisions. A background in commercial modeling and pricing strategy will set you apart as a candidate who can contribute to the financial success of the product categories you oversee.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take on the responsibility of defining and developing a portfolio of branded products that complement HelloFresh's core meal subscription service. You will act as the General Manager for these new product categories, overseeing everything from strategy formulation to market launch. Your primary focus will be on identifying unmet customer needs and determining which products will enhance retention and increase basket size. You will partner closely with product management to ensure that the products you develop align with customer expectations and market demands.

You will lead the commercial modeling efforts, ensuring that each product's financial viability is thoroughly assessed. This includes setting pricing strategies that meet margin targets and owning the category P&L. Your role will also involve conducting market intelligence analysis to understand the competitive landscape and ensure that HelloFresh's offerings provide a distinct value proposition.

As you build these new product categories, you will lead the decision-making process regarding production methods, weighing the benefits of in-house production against outsourcing. You will establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring that the quality and availability of ingredients meet HelloFresh's high standards. Your entrepreneurial mindset will be crucial as you navigate the challenges of launching new products in a competitive market.

What we offer

HelloFresh offers a competitive salary and pension scheme, along with healthy lunches, fruit, and snacks in the office. You will be part of a culturally diverse team that values collaboration and innovation. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe in the potential of diverse backgrounds and perspectives to drive our success.
