Ogilvy is seeking an Interpreter to support their advertising agency business by providing JP/EN and EN/JP interpretation and translation services. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in a multinational company, preferably within an advertising agency.
You have at least 3-5 years of experience as a JP/EN interpreter or translator, ideally in a multinational company. Your background may include time spent studying at an interpreting school, which has equipped you with the necessary skills for this role. Experience in an advertising agency is a significant plus, as it aligns with the unique demands of the industry. You are comfortable with both simultaneous interpreting during meetings and translating written documentation, ensuring clear communication across various contexts. Your ability to navigate both casual and formal settings makes you an asset in internal and client meetings.
In this role, you will provide day-to-day interpreting services for internal meetings and client interactions, facilitating smooth communication between Japanese and English speakers. You will also be responsible for translating proposals and other written documents for internal review and client delivery. Your work will be crucial in supporting the agency's operations and ensuring that all parties are aligned in their discussions and decisions. You will engage in simultaneous interpreting both online and offline, adapting to the needs of the meetings and the preferences of the participants.
