Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Furnishing Platform team to build scalable systems and data pipelines for consumer credit reporting. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and require expertise in Java and data architecture.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable systems and data pipelines. You understand the importance of delivering accurate and timely data, and you have a strong background in designing robust reporting systems. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with product, compliance, servicing, and credit teams to achieve strategic outcomes. Your technical expertise allows you to influence the design of large-scale data and backend systems, ensuring they are scalable and aligned with engineering standards. You are comfortable leading engineers through ambiguity and open-ended problems, providing clarity and direction to your team. You are motivated by the mission to provide honest financial products that improve lives, and you are excited about the opportunity to contribute to a growing company.
Experience with consumer credit reporting systems or financial services is a plus. Familiarity with data architecture and backend system design will help you excel in this role. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.

You will lead engineering efforts, guiding your team through complex challenges and ensuring that solutions are scalable and extensible. Your work will directly impact Affirm's ability to scale its products and improve the financial experiences of consumers.
