Handshake is seeking Chemical Engineers to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your expertise to evaluate AI models and provide feedback. No AI experience is required, making this a unique opportunity for professionals in the field.
You are a Chemical Engineer with at least 4 years of professional experience in your field. You have a strong understanding of chemical processes and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations. Your background allows you to troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes effectively, analyzing data to improve outcomes. You are open to learning new skills and adapting to the evolving landscape of AI technology, even if you have no prior experience with AI.
Experience in developing prompts for AI models or evaluating technical content is a plus, but not required. You are comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively, as this role offers flexible hours and the ability to work asynchronously.
In this role, you will participate in an AI research project that requires you to evaluate AI models based on your professional expertise. You will develop prompts that reflect your field and assess the responses generated by the AI. Your feedback will be crucial in enhancing the model's understanding of workplace tasks and language. You will work independently, contributing an average of 5-20 hours per week, depending on project availability. This position allows you to engage with cutting-edge technology while applying your chemical engineering knowledge in a new context.
Handshake provides a unique opportunity to contribute to AI research without needing prior AI experience. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. You will have the flexibility to choose your hours, making it an ideal position for those seeking temporary or contract work. As projects open periodically, there will be opportunities for continued engagement in the future. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
