Handshake • Remote (USA)
Handshake is seeking Medical Transcriptionists to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models and provide feedback. No AI experience is required, and the position is fully remote.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in medical transcription or related fields, which equips you with the context needed to evaluate and train AI models effectively. Your background includes returning dictated reports for physician review and producing medical records, correspondence, and other documentation essential for patient care. You are comfortable working independently and can manage your time effectively in a flexible, remote environment.
Experience in AI or machine learning is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes will enhance your ability to contribute to the project. You are open to learning new skills and adapting to the evolving landscape of AI in healthcare.
In this role, you will participate in an AI research project by evaluating the outputs of AI models related to medical transcription. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the content generated by these models and provide structured feedback that helps improve their accuracy and relevance. You will develop prompts that reflect your field, ensuring that the AI understands the nuances of medical language and tasks. The work is asynchronous, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the United States, with flexible hours averaging between 5 to 20 hours per week.
Handshake provides a unique opportunity to engage with AI technology in a meaningful way, contributing to the development of tools that can enhance medical transcription processes. You will have the chance to work on a project that runs year-round, with new opportunities opening periodically. This role allows you to leverage your expertise while gaining insights into the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
