Overview

Unity is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead and scale their Global BDR organization. You'll define and execute business development strategies while collaborating closely with Sales and Marketing teams. This role requires proven experience in leading global business development teams.

Who you are

You have a proven track record of leading global or multi-regional Business Development teams, demonstrating your ability to scale teams and consistently deliver on pipeline targets. Your experience includes defining and executing business development strategies that align with sales objectives, ensuring that your team contributes effectively to pipeline growth. You possess strong leadership skills, enabling you to mentor and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and RevOps, to drive execution excellence and maximize pipeline impact. Your analytical mindset allows you to establish and optimize operating rhythms, including goals, KPIs, and performance management frameworks. You understand the importance of building scalable processes and playbooks to support onboarding and career progression for your team members.

Desirable

Experience in the technology sector or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with various industries and product lines. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt strategies based on market dynamics and organizational needs. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels will be crucial in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead, scale, and develop a global Business Development Representative organization across multiple regions, including AMER, EMEA, and APAC. You will define and execute a comprehensive business development strategy, focusing on outbound motions, target segmentation, and account prioritization. Your leadership will ensure that the BDR team generates a consistent and high-quality pipeline for regional Sales teams.

You will partner closely with Sales Leadership to align BDR coverage, quotas, and handoff models, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams. Additionally, you will work with Marketing on campaign execution, messaging, and demand programs to maximize the impact of pipeline generation efforts. Establishing and optimizing BDR operating rhythms will be a key responsibility, as you will set goals, KPIs, and dashboards to track performance and forecast results.

Your role will also involve building scalable processes and enablement frameworks to support the onboarding, coaching, and career progression of BDR team members. You will be responsible for fostering a high-performing culture within the organization, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement among team members.

What we offer

Unity offers a competitive salary range of $155,600 to $233,400 USD, reflecting the importance of this leadership role within the organization.
