Your background includes hands-on experience with data architecture and pipelines, where you've successfully designed and implemented solutions using AWS services such as Glue, EMR, S3, Redshift, and Athena. You understand the intricacies of building and managing data lakes and data warehouses optimized for analytics, and you are adept at modernizing legacy systems by converting Java-based migration or ETL scripts into Spark-based solutions.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, which allows you to ensure the scalability and performance of the systems you design. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders makes you an effective collaborator across teams. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in technology, particularly in the fields of big data and machine learning.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of data architecture and pipelines that support Tekion's innovative automotive platform. You will work closely with engineering teams to modernize legacy systems, ensuring a seamless transition to Spark-based solutions that enhance data quality and performance. Your responsibilities will include building and managing data lakes and data warehouses that are optimized for analytics, enabling better decision-making across the organization.

You will collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements. Your expertise in AWS services will be crucial as you design scalable solutions that can handle large volumes of data while maintaining high performance. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge of best practices in data architecture and engineering.

Your role will involve continuous improvement of existing data systems, identifying areas for optimization and implementing changes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. You will stay engaged with the latest trends in big data and machine learning, applying this knowledge to drive innovation within the team and the broader organization.
