Senior Python Engineer, Customer Value Track

Who you are

You are a Senior Python Engineer with a strong background in backend development, particularly in Python and Django. You thrive in collaborative environments and have experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and designers. You understand the importance of writing clean, testable code and are familiar with non-functional requirements such as scalability and performance. You are adaptable and enjoy tackling challenges in a fast-paced setting, always looking for ways to improve processes and documentation.

You have a solid understanding of service-oriented architecture and are comfortable dealing with both legacy code and modern frameworks. Your experience includes working with AsyncIO frameworks and libraries, as well as managing Celery workloads. You are also knowledgeable in Java and Spring Boot, which allows you to contribute to projects that require a diverse tech stack. You are driven by the goal of creating positive customer impact and are excited about unlocking new markets for PandaDoc.

Desirable

Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS, is a plus. Familiarity with Kubernetes for provisioning and deploying workloads will help you excel in this role. You are also encouraged to bring any additional skills or frameworks that could enhance the team's capabilities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to design and deliver complete end-to-end solutions that enhance customer value. You will follow features through their entire lifecycle, from problem formulation to solution delivery, ensuring that all aspects of the implementation meet quality standards. Your responsibilities will include writing clean, self-explanatory, and production-ready code while considering all non-functional requirements. You will utilize quality metrics to identify gaps in deliverables and define targets for your team.

You will play a key role in improving internal processes and documentation, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team. Your work will directly impact the company's ability to expand product-market fit and drive new monthly recurring revenue (MRR) by addressing the needs of both the Sales and Revenue teams. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your expertise with the team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
