Coupang is hiring a Staff Back-end Engineer to innovate and build systems that enable reliable order fulfillment in their Fulfillment Centers. You'll work with Java and contribute to the fast-growing e-commerce landscape. This role requires significant backend engineering experience.
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building production systems that scale effectively. You’ve owned services from design through deployment and have valuable insights from debugging complex distributed systems issues. Your expertise in Java is deep, and you have a strong understanding of service architecture, dependency injection, and testing strategies. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. You are comfortable with the challenges of a fast-paced e-commerce environment and are eager to contribute to a mission-driven company. You understand the importance of customer satisfaction and are motivated by the impact your work has on enhancing the customer experience.
Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture would be a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and a passion for continuous learning will help you excel in this role.
